Cienfuegos, аs we already wrote, is the cleanest city in Cuba. Unfortunately, it lacks a decent beach, since it is situated in a bay with a narrow channel that flows into the Caribbean sea. If you come to visit Cienfuegos and want to sunbathe on a golden sandy beach, we suggest that you go to Rancho Luna Beach. It is located on the road between Trinidad and Cienfuegos.
Rancho Luna Beach is long and wide, poorly maintained, but with lots of straw beach umbrellas for free use. The lounges, though, cost 2 Pesos. The beach is relatively empty of people, there are some meal spots, but they are rather low-quality ones, therefore we suggest that you prepare your own food in advance. However, a fresh mojito is something you can definitely indulge in there. The price for a taxi from Cienfuegos to the beach is around 10 Pesos in one direction.
