Hiron Beach in Cuba

The Hiron Beach in Cuba is more of historical significance to the Revolution in Cuba, rather than a natural artifact. However, Hiron Beach along the Caribbean sea is often visited by tourists and locals. This is the only beach in Cuba, where there is a concrete wall to prevent a possible landing (para-invasion). The Hiron Beach hosts the Playa Giron Hotel, kept by Cubanacan. In the village of Hiron you will find a lot of guest houses, where you can be accommodated for 15-20 Euro per room. Read more about Cuban currency here.

The beach of Hiron is a qualitative one with fine golden sand. However, because of the wall, there are a lot of sea-urchins around, so a pair of aqua shoes would definitely come in handy. All in all, this is a calm spot, away from mass tourism in Cuba.
